After completing a Diploma in Outdoor Leadership, Renae began her career guiding wilderness expeditions that helped young people build leadership skills and develop a deeper connection with the natural world. Through this work, she saw firsthand the powerful impact that time in nature can have on people’s wellbeing, inspiring a lasting commitment to protecting and restoring the environment.

In 2008, Renae joined Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA), bringing together her passion for nature and community. Since then, she has been a passionate environmental advocate and community leader, combing her background in environmental education with strong project management experience and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Anthropology and Archaeology. She is driven by the belief that conservation is most powerful when communities come together to learn about, and care for, the places they value.
