I’ve always been fascinated by nature.  Growing up on a bushy block in country Victoria, I was lucky to have the opportunity to explore and learn about the natural world from a young age.  This early connection led me to Far north Queensland, where I studied ecology and began building a career grounded in hands-on conservation.

Since joining Conservation Volunteers Australia in 2017, I’ve worked alongside thousands of incredible volunteers to protect some of Sydney’s most precious plants and animals. This includes projects supporting threatened species and ecosystems such as the Green and Golden Bell Frog, Cumberland Plain Woodland, Spotted Tree Frog, Blue-winged Copper Butterfly, as well as current work restoring habitat for Koala and Platypus.

It’s a privilege to work at the intersection of ecology, education and community engagement – delivering projects that protect habitats while helping people connect meaningfully with nature. Seeing people build skills, confidence and a sense of stewardship through conservation is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
