Celebrate National Tree Day 2026

National Tree Day is Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature care event, bringing together thousands of volunteers each year to restore our natural environment and create healthier habitats for wildlife.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of National Tree Day, celebrating three decades of Australians taking positive action for nature.

At CVA, we believe that every volunteer and every tree planted contributes to a healthier, more resilient future. Through our partnership with Chevron Australia, these National Tree Day events contribute to the ongoing Revive Our Wetlands initiative by supporting habitat restoration, increasing community connection to local environments, and helping to improve the health and resilience of key wetland ecosystems across Australia.

By restoring native vegetation, improving biodiversity and caring for local wetland and bushland habitats, we’re creating healthier ecosystems while inspiring people to connect with and care for the natural world and one another.

This year, as part of National Tree Day, we aim to plant 2,850 native seedlings across our Revive Our Wetlands project sites, whilst also ultimately improving wetland habitat and biodiversity, and we need your help.

This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get involved. Whether you’re planting your very first seedling or returning as a longtime volunteer, it’s a great opportunity to get outdoors, meet like-minded people and get your hands dirty for nature.
