Growing up in a small coastal town in the South West of Western Australia, I developed a strong connection and appreciation for nature and the ocean from an early age. This upbringing, I believe, sparked a lifelong passion for conserving the environment and protecting these essential and unique ecosystems and wildlife that call these places home.
Inspired by my connection to nature, I pursued studies in biological science and environmental management, driven by a desire to turn passion into practice.
I began working with Conservation Volunteers Australia in 2019, starting my journey as a Project Officer, then progressing to coordinating our National Revive our Wetlands Project, and now I currently manage this project, as well as our Woodside project and Alcoa Sea to Source Peel-Harvey project. I love that I get to lead and support a national team of amazing project officers, and work collaboratively with project and community partners to deliver meaningful and impactful environmental outcomes.
For me, it’s great to be able to work alongside the community and partners to create positive change for our environment. I believe community connection is crucial to conservation and the overall health of our environment and community. Bringing people together to care for the places they love is so important for both people and nature.
